This is a portrait of my good friend and colleague John MacDonald, an amazing painter and incredible workshop Instructor who teaches at my Studios South, in Mexico, Casa de los Artistas, (see: ArtWorkshopVacations.com). John and I have painted numerous times together along the Deerfield river, which is a mid point between both of our MA homes and studios. It was painted in both plein air and the studio.
